Can you help inspire Norfolk to become a better place to live work and create brighter, more rewarding, more fulfilling futures for our young people?
Do you believe in the power of the community and working together?
Then we believe in you!
Norfolk Can Inspire (NCI), funded initially by Norfolk County Council, is a cross-Norfolk initiative that aims to provide work-skills, expertise and mentoring to young people whilst encouraging and facilitating the development and sustainability of community based enterprises. NCI is supported by a wide and influential range of public, private and 3rd sector organisations - all wanting to make Norfolk a better place to live and work. NCI is registering as a charity having already established itself as a Trust.
As NCI Manager you will be responsible for leading on the development of the day-to-day operations of this initiative. This will cover a broad spectrum of areas; from liaising with government and county agencies to working directly with businesses, employers and young people.
The post is full-time (37 hours per week) and offered initially for the period leading up to the beginning of April 2014. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will, as part of their role, help ensure the sustainability of the role beyond that date.
If you believe you have the experience, the confidence and the skills to lead a high-profile initiative of this importance from formation through to operational sustainability, we want to hear from you.
How to apply
If you would like, in the first instance, an informal chat about the role please contact Richard Jarrald, who is a member of the NCI Management Group and a senior member of City College Norwich - one of the organisations supporting NCI. Richard can be contacted on 01603 773060.
